LEICESTER’S National Development League side will start the season without new signing Jamie Halder.
Halder had a fall at home and has sustained a broken ankle in three places. He had surgery on Monday to plate it.
Club co-promoter Stewart Dickson said: “It’s such a blow both to Jamie himself and the Roger Webster Lion Cubs.
“The first thing we have to say is to wish Jamie well for a speedy recovery and we hope to see him back at the stadium soon.
“In the meantime with our first meeting on Wednesday May 19 I am actively looking to sign a replacement and will update everyone in due course.”
